I was born Christy Delatore on November 29 in Redbank, NJ. My parents, Ruth and John Delatore, are still happily married and living in Florida. I have a sister, Laurel, who is currently traveling the world by boat (The Monkey's Business) with her husband Jason. I also have a brother, Paul, who lives in Florida with his wife Natalie and daughter Ema. I grew up primarily in Naperville, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. I went to Benet Academy, a Catholic high school in Lisle, IL and attended the Univeristy of Illinois, majoring in Marketing. After graduation, I pursued an "illustrious" career in retail management, first as a District Supervisor for Aldi Foods (a discount grocery chain) and then as a Store Manager for Lane Bryant women's clothing. In 1995, I earned my MBA from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Following graduation, I moved to Denver, CO where I pursued a second masters degree in Health Administration (graduated in 1998) at the University of Colorado and worked at Bellco Credit Union in the marketing department. After graduation, I got married and pursued a career in healthcare marketing as a Marketing Manager at McKesson. After having our beautiful daughter Marissa Ruth on April 22, 2000, I left my marketing career to be a full-time stay at home Mom. On October 30, 2001, I gave birth to our second beautiful daughter Julia Christy. And on September 14, 2004, we welcomed our third child Justin Aric. Now I spend my free time working part-time for Hilmas & Associates, here on our family web site or volunteering with my local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group. There's also the typical carting around of my kids to their various activities (Gymboree, ballet, gymnastics, etc.) My other hobbies include camping, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, music and reading. I'm also a total movie buff, so if you're looking to plan a movie theme night, I'm your gal. |
